About Audio Listening Devices
Our devices and the commercial market devices basically come in three forms, which are as follows
- FM Transmitters these are the commonest type of transmitter and also the cheapest transmitters you will find on the market. Audio quality can be quite poor as these devices tend to be manufactured very cheaply. The frequency can also be very unstable as they do not use special circuitry to lock the frequncy. Security of transmission is very poor as these transmitters work on the normal FM radio frequency therefore the audio transmitted can easily be acidentaly received by anyone in the area using a normal FM radio.
- VHF Transmitters. These are generally very similar to the FM transmitters. The only difference being that they work on a higher frequency band outside the normal FM radio band making them a bit more secure. These cannot be picked up by a normal FM radio.
- UHF Transmitters and the best in terms of privacy frequency stability and audio reception quality. The only disadvantage is the cost is much higher but you get what you pay for!.
