The term UHF means Ultra High Frequency and refers to a particular frequency band within the radio frequency spectrum. Our transmitters work around 400Mhz which is the industry standard. This frequency is very good for audio transmission as it is easy to penetrate walls and windows etc. These devices used a fixed frequency oscillator to ensure there is no drift in channel frequency which can be caused by external influences. The FM devices do not use this oscillator and therefore is much lower in cost but has its disadvantages
